Ten attorneys at Callison Tighe honored by Best Lawyers in 2026 edition
Ten lawyers at Callison Tighe & Robinson are being named in the 2026 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for Columbia.
Here are the eight who were named to the main Best Lawyers list, with the practice areas in which they were recognized:

- Rick Detwiler: Commercial Litigation; Litigation – Mergers and Acquisitions; Mediation; Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs; Workers’ Compensation Law – Claimants.
- Ian Duggan: Commercial Litigation: Criminal Defense: White-Collar; Litigation – Environmental; Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs.
- Jim Koutrakos: Litigation – Banking and Finance; Litigation – Insurance; Litigation – Real Estate; Real Estate Law.
- Louis Lang: Criminal Defense: White-Collar; Litigation – Banking and Finance; Litigation – Insurance; Litigation – Real Estate.
- Mike Tighe (recently retired): Litigation – Real Estate; Real Estate Law.
- Alex Weatherly: Business Organizations (including LLCs and Partnerships); Closely Held Companies and Family Businesses Law; Mergers and Acquisitions Law; Trusts and Estates.
- Reece Williams: Litigation – Insurance; Litigation – Real Estate; Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs.
One of those – Jim Koutrakos – was also named this year to the top honor offered by Best Lawyers: Lawyer of the Year. This means he received the highest overall peer-feedback vote in the Columbia area in the practice of Litigation – Real Estate.
Two other attorneys in the firm were named to the Ones to Watch list, which is awarded to attorneys who have distinguished themselves in the first decade of their careers:
