Three Callison Tighe & Robinson attorneys listed in Super Lawyers
Rick Detwiler, Demetri “Jim” Koutrakos, and Harry Dixon are honored in the latest “Super Lawyers,” a national guide that identifies outstanding attorneys across the country, and its related directory of “Rising Stars.”
Their selection extends Callison Tighe’s lengthy history of recognition by the guide. All three attorneys have been recognized in multiple previous updates of the directory.
Mr. Detwiler, who has been honored for five years, is recognized in the practice area of general litigation. Mr. Koutrakos, who has been recognized for more than a decade, is highlighted in business litigation. Mr. Dixon is listed among “Rising Stars” in the practice area of civil litigation defense.
The managing member of Callison Tighe & Robinson, Mr. Detwiler is a trial lawyer who has practiced for 40 years handling serious workers’ compensation and personal injury cases, and commercial controversies, such as contract disputes and business dissolutions, and trust litigation.
Mr. Koutrakos brings extensive experience as a litigator to clients in commercial and title matters, often involving complex commercial and real property disputes at both the trial and appellate levels. He has a well-established practice representing insurers and their insureds in title insurance litigation.
Mr. Dixon, who is included in the “Rising Stars” list, represents clients in all levels of state and federal courts in South Carolina. About Super Lawyers
Updated annually since 1991, “Super Lawyers” uses a patented selection process to identify outstanding attorneys across more than 70 practice areas. Criteria include a peer nomination, independent research into 12 indicators of professional achievement, and a review from a panel of previous Super Lawyers honorees in the same practice areas. Only about 5 percent of eligible attorneys in each state are selected each year. For “Rising Stars,” a designation reserved for attorneys younger than 40 or with less than 10 years’ practice, selection is limited to about 2.5% of those eligible.
