Callison Tighe members Detwiler and Duggan named to ‘Legal Elite’ list for 2022

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Callison Tighe & Robinson members Rick Detwiler and Ian Duggan have again been honored by inclusion in Columbia Business Monthly’s “Legal Elite of the Midlands” list for 2022.

Both were included, as they were in 2021, for their practice in business litigation. This is the second time Mr. Duggan has been recognized, while Mr. Detwiler has been included since 2017. “Legal Elite” honors Midlands lawyers considered by peers to be outstanding in their respective practice areas.

The publication’s selection process begins with a nomination from a peer. A vote of all active attorneys in the Midlands results in a Top 10 list in each of 20 practice areas.

Mr. Detwiler, the managing member of the firm, practices in the areas of commercial litigation, serious personal injury, workplace accidents, and probate and trust litigation. He is certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as a Circuit Court Mediator.

Mr. Duggan focuses on complex litigation, practicing in particular in the areas of complex commercial litigation, serious personal injury, white-collar criminal matters. A former active-duty U.S. Air Force officer, he now serves as a Judge Advocate in the S.C. Air National Guard.

Both have also received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest Peer Review Rating of AV Preeminent, which attests to professional excellence, legal skill and ethical standing in the practice of law.
