Five Callison Tighe attorneys recognized by Super Lawyers for 2024
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Five Callison Tighe & Robinson attorneys – William Bert Brannon, Richard C. Detwiler, Demetri “Jim” Koutrakos, Michael W. Tighe, and Harry A. Dixon – were recognized by South Carolina Super Lawyers® this year.
All have been honored multiple times in past editions of the annual directory of outstanding attorneys.
Mr. Brannon has been on the Super Lawyers list for 15 consecutive years. He is a specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law as certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court. His practice also includes corporate law.
Mr. Detwiler is the managing member of the firm. He handles general litigation, including commercial disputes, serious personal injury, workplace accidents, and probate and trust litigation. He is certified as a Circuit Court Mediator by the South Carolina Supreme Court.
Mr. Koutrakos has made the Super Lawyers list every year since 2016. His practice areas include litigation of all types of commercial and real property disputes. Among other clients, he represents title insurance companies and their insureds in litigation. He also handles appellate work.
Mr. Tighe is a founding member of the firm. He has received Super Lawyers recognition nine times before. In addition to real estate practice, he is also a certified mediator and arbitrator, and an experienced litigator. He practices in both state and federal courts in South Carolina.
Mr. Dixon’s recognition was a first-time spot on the rating service’s Rising Stars list. That is a separate listing to recognize outstanding lawyers who are younger than 40, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. Mr. Dixon practices in the areas of civil litigation; commercial litigation; and real estate and title insurance litigation. He practices in both state and federal courts in South Carolina and handles both trial and appellate matters.
