Callison Tighe listed among top-ranked firms in 2016 Best Law Firms in America

COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – Callison Tighe & Robinson again is ranked as a top law firm in two practice areas of real estate in the 2016 Best Law Firms in America.

The firm earned Tier 1 honors for the Columbia metropolitan area in Litigation – Real Estate and Real Estate Law.

Callison Tighe also was recognized for work in bankruptcy, mediation and creditor debtor rights/insolvency and reorganization law, the first time the firm has been recognized in that practice area.

Callison Tighe has been included in every edition of Best Law Firms in America since the publication’s inception in 2010. The new edition of the guide, a joint publication of Best Lawyers in America and U.S. News & World Report, was released today.

A firm is eligible for inclusion in the guide only if at least one of its attorneys is rated highly in Best Lawyers. Six Callison Tighe attorneys – Tighe, Ralph C. Robinson Jr., Louis Lang, Andrew English, III,  Sherwood M. “Woody” Cleveland and James S. Meggs – are included in the 2016 edition.

Once the Best Lawyers results are complete, Best Law Firms surveys firms in the same metropolitan areas and attorneys in the same practice areas about a number of key factors, including responsiveness, cost-effectiveness and civility. The questionnaires also asks if respondents would recommend the firm. Client feedback is factored in as well. The data are analyzed to determine final firm rankings. Around 11,000 firms across the country are evaluated each year.
