Three Callison Tighe members receive 2017 Lawyer of the Year honors
COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – Three attorneys of Callison Tighe have received 2017 Lawyer of the Year honors for the Columbia Metropolitan Area in the just-released edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
Managing member Michael W. Tighe was honored in real estate litigation, a practice area where he also received top honors in 2015. Louis H. Lang is Lawyer of the Year in insurance litigation, while Nekki Shutt has been recognized for her work in ERISA litigation.
Callison Tighe has had a Lawyer of the Year for each of the past three editions. This is the first time three of the firm’s attorneys have been honored in a single year.
Six other Callison Tighe attorneys also were included in the 2017 edition of Best Lawyers in America, collectively earning recognition across 11 practice areas.
First published in 1993, Best Lawyers has been described as “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.” Attorneys are included after a stringent review that includes more than 5 million confidential evaluations. Lawyers of the Year honors go to attorneys who receive the highest overall feedback in each practice area.
