Russell joins Callison Tighe as an associate
Callison Tighe & Robinson, LLC is pleased to announce Shelby Russell has joined the firm as an associate attorney with a practice focused on representing clients in serious personal injury matters, complex civil litigation, and criminal proceedings in federal court.
Shelby’s client-focused approach draws on her diverse background in public service and investigative work. While in law school at USC, Ms. Russell was selected as a Law Fellow at Yale Law School’s Veterans Legal Services Clinic, where she was part of a nationally recognized team that advocated for veterans and service members through high-impact class action litigation. She also spent two years with the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, Special Prosecution Unit, assisting in cases involving domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking.
Ms. Russell earned a master’s degree in criminal justice from Saint Leo University and a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from American Military University. Before law school, she worked as both a child protective investigator and a federal background investigator conducting top-secret clearance reviews. At age 18, she enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Combat Medic—an experience that continues to shape her discipline and dedication to clients. In 2024, Columbia Business Monthly named her one of its Best & Brightest 35 and Under.
