Callison Tighe attorney preparing for Modern Family Law II SC Bar CLE
Columbia, SC – Callison Tighe partner Wm. Bert Brannon is preparing to help update the legal community on estate planning issues during the SC Bar’s Modern Family Law II CLE, set for March 24.
Presenters for the all-day CLE include attorneys, judges, professors and other professionals. Topics will include domestic relations law, probate and estate matters, and employment and other discrimination issues. Non-marriage relationship issues including property ownership and estate planning will be covered, as will post-DOMA marriage issues such as benefits and elder care. The day will conclude with a presentation covering the most-recent developments as well as cases to watch.
Wm. Bert Brannon, a South Carolina Supreme Court Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law whose practice at Callison Tighe focuses on estate and business planning, will be part of a panel discussion covering legal points for partners who choose not to marry. These will include domestic partnership contracts, wills, powers of attorney and real property.
Early Bird registration is available through March 11. Attendance at the seminar, which will be presented live at the SC Bar conference center only, qualifies attorneys for six CLE credits.
