Callison Tighe’s Cochran wins U.S. National Outdoor Collegiate Championship

COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – Callison Tighe staff member Carli Cochran is right on target again, winning the women’s compound bow title at the recent U.S. National Outdoor Collegiate Championships.

Cochran represented the University of South Carolina, where she’s a full-time student majoring in business management in addition to working full time at Callison Tighe. She’s also a member of the U.S. National Archery Team.

Her win at the collegiate championship clinches her a position at the World University Games in South Kore in July. South Carolina’s Garrett Abernethy won the men’s title, making them the first teammates to win compound-bow titles in the same year, according to an article on pennlive.com.

Cochran and Abernethy founded the archery club at USC, and Callison Tighe has helped sponsor them.
