3 Callison Tighe partners included in Super Lawyers 2017
COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA –The recently released Super Lawyers 2017 edition includes three partners from Callison Tighe in its annual guide to the nation’s attorneys.
Super Lawyers selected Michael Tighe, Wm. Bert Brannon and Demetri “Jim” Koutrakos after a rigorous process begins with peer nomination and evaluates candidates based on 12 indicators. Super Lawyers solicits evaluations from attorneys in the same practice areas plus conducts independent research. Only about 5 percent of the nominees are selected for inclusion each year.
Tighe, the firm’s managing member and one of its founders, was recognized in the practice area of real estate law. He concentrates on real estate-related litigation, representing clients including title insurers and their insureds, as well as major lenders and developers. He has been selected for six consecutive editions of Super Lawyers.
Brannon has been featured in every edition of Super Lawyers since 2010. A Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law, he was recognized in that practice area as well as in closely held corporations. The two are frequently connected, as Brannon works with clients in all phases of business planning, including business entity selection, taxation issues, succession planning and other areas of corporate law.
Koutrakos was recognized in the practice area of business litigation. At Callison Tighe, he represents parties in a variety of property disputes. His practice also includes title insurance law, and he has handled more than claims for title insurance companies and their insureds.
