Super Lawyers again honors three at Callison Tighe & Robinson
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Callison Tighe & Robinson is very proud of three of our members – Michael W. Tighe, Demetri “Jim” Koutrakos, and William Bert Brannon – have been named yet again as 2021 South Carolina Super Lawyers®.
This is the 12th year in a row that Bert Brannon has been honored with this recognition. It’s the 10th year for Mike Tighe, and the sixth for Jim Koutrakos.
Mr. Brannon concentrates his practice in estate planning, probate, and related tax issues, and is a certified specialist in estate planning and probate law. He also assists businesses through every stage of their lifetimes, from the choice of entity planning, business continuation plans, and succession planning. He makes sure clients have a solid foundation, a clear direction and a plan for keeping their families’ futures secure.
Mr. Tighe is a certified mediator and arbitrator and experienced litigator. He has represented title insurers and their insureds, as well as lenders and major developers, in real estate-related litigation in state and federal courts in South Carolina, and in transactional matters since 1971. His peers often call him to testify as an expert witness on real estate and title insurance-related issues.
Mr. Koutrakos litigates all types of real property disputes. He has handled over a thousand title insurance claims for national and regional title insurers and their insureds, including numerous major claims, bad faith claims, and litigation involving large title defects in commercial and residential properties throughout South Carolina. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars in the real estate industry.
No more than 5 percent of the attorneys in South Carolina are selected each year to be honored by Super Lawyers.
