Three Callison Tighe partners included in 2018 Super Lawyers
COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – The just-released edition of Super Lawyers includes Michael Tighe, Wm. Bert Brannon and Demetri “Jim” Koutrakos, all partners at Callison Tighe.
The 2018 Super Lawyers edition continues Callison Tighe’s history of success in the national publication. Brannon has won inclusion every year since the 2010 Super Lawyers edition.
A Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law, Brannon earned honors in that practice area. He won recognition in closely held corporations as well. The two practice areas frequently intersect.
Brannon counsels clients in all phases of the business life cycle. He helps with business entity selection, then moves to taxation issues and succession planning. His practice includes other areas of corporate law as well
Brannon and the other estate planning attorneys at Callison Tighe offer a full range of services, including probate administration and trust planning and administration. They counsel clients with estates of all sizes. Several also are skilled litigators should it come to that.
Tighe, one of the firm’s founders and its managing member, earned honors in real estate law. This is his seventh consecutive year in Super Lawyers.
Koutrakos won recognition in business litigation. At Callison Tighe, he represents parties in a variety of property disputes.
Tighe and Koutrakos also are part of Callison Tighe’s title insurance litigation team, a group of attorneys who have worked together for more than two decades. The team – Louis Lang in addition to Tighe and Koutrakos – has handled thousands of title insurance claims. The firm has been a part of nearly every major reported title insurance decision in South Carolina.
About Super Lawyers
The Super Lawyers selection process starts with peer nomination. Super Lawyers then solicits evaluations from attorneys in the same practice areas and also conducts independent research. The final list includes only about 5 percent of attorneys nominated each year.
More than 13 million readers nationwide receive the annual Super Lawyers Magazine. South Carolina Super Lawyers, a companion publication, reaches more than 100,000 readers each year.
