A native of Columbia, Celeste Bowers focuses on real estate development, commercial transactions and real estate litigation at Callison Tighe.
Celeste practiced for nearly five years in Columbia before coming to Callison Tighe in 2017. During that time, she gained experience in real estate closings and title issues. She also worked in contract formation, negotiation and interpretation.
At Callison Tighe, her real estate practice also includes real estate development and commercial transactions. She particularly enjoys the longer-term nature of the work in development and the opportunity to work with clients in depth and over time as projects move forward.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, Celeste completed an International Master of Business Administration at the Darla Moore School of Business at the same time she was pursuing her Juris Doctor. She’s found that the accounting and finance skills she developed while earning her master’s have applications to her legal work, particularly in commercial development.
Her bachelor’s degree in political science also is from the University of South Carolina. Between completing her undergraduate degree and her master’s, she helped her mother run the family business, a landscaping company, after her father’s death.
Though she’s mostly called South Carolina home, Celeste also has explored a lot of the world. She’s visited 23 countries, touring South America extensively while on her way to a semester studying abroad in Chile. She developed skills in Spanish, honing them while studying in Chile as she worked on her master’s. She also studied in London during her legal studies.
Celeste is a member of the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division. She’s volunteered in the division’s Wills Clinics, donating her time to draft free wills and advance directives for first responders and Habitat for Humanity homeowners.
