Taylor becomes Callison Tighe’s newest partner
COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – An experienced attorney whose practice includes complex business litigation and construction lawsuits, George Taylor has become the newest partner at Callison Tighe.
“From the time George arrived at our firm, I’ve been impressed with his legal skills, his thorough preparation and his commitment to our clients,” managing member Mike Tighe said. “We’re pleased and proud that he’s now a member of Callison Tighe.”
Taylor’s practice also includes personal injury suits, medical malpractice and professional negligence cases. Taylor has represented both plaintiffs and defendants. He’s a skilled litigator who’s licensed to appear at all levels of state and federal court in South Carolina. He’s also represented clients before government bodies.
Additionally, he helps clients navigate the complex South Carolina workers comp system. He’s handled routine matters as well as complex cases involving serious injuries.
Ready for settlement or trial
Taylor begins each case with an eye toward a possible trial. He carefully compiles evidence and conducts legal research. This preparation puts the client in the best possible position in settlement talks. Should the case go to trial, Taylor’s advance work ensures that he’s ready.
Taylor came to Callison Tighe in 2011 after attending the University of South Carolina School of Law. He graduated with honors and earned numerous awards.
Before law school, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a military intelligence officer. He was deployed several times, including tours in Qatar and Iraq. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal and two Air Force Achievement Medals.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from The Citadel.
In addition to his commitment to clients, Taylor also is committed to his community. He often serves as a guardian ad litem for displaced children. He also works with a program that provides free legal services to the homeless.
