W. Taylor Stanley focuses his practice on commercial, business and real estate litigation. He is a full-service attorney who assists clients with a range of issues, from contract negotiations to real estate disputes and transactions.
He has represented clients in a number of construction-related matters, including litigation involving construction defects. He assists companies of all sizes in contract negotiations, an area where his legal knowledge is bolstered by his undergraduate studies in business administration and finance.
Taylor also represents clients in commercial transactions, assisting lenders and borrowers in a variety of settings. His real estate litigation practice includes boundary disputes, easements, restrictive covenants, reformation of deeds and mortgages, and quiet title actions. Additionally, he’s represented homeowners’ associations in cases that have wound up in the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
Taylor also serves as General Counsel to the South Carolina Department of Agriculture. In this position he often assists with negotiations with other government agencies and works closely with counties on various issues.
Taylor is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in both North and South Carolina, a capability that gives his clients an advantage should their business or personal dealings cross state lines.
Taylor, who joined Callison Tighe as an associate in 2013, holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from North Carolina State University, graduating summa cum laude in 2010 with concentrations in operations/supply chain and finance. He graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law in May 2013.
