An experienced lawyer who knows his way around a courtroom, George’s practice focuses on litigation, including complex business disputes, professional negligence, construction defects, medical malpractice and personal injury.

He’s licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in South Carolina, and he’s also appeared before municipal and administrative bodies. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants. George’s practice also includes workers’ compensation law. His cases have ranged from routine claims to complicated cases involving serious injuries.

George believes each case is unique and each client deserves a lawyer who is committed to the case.  That’s why he prepares every case as if it were going to trial. He carefully compiles evidence and interviews witnesses. He investigates when necessary. These efforts help put the client in the best position to maximize recovery in the event of a settlement. If a settlement isn’t possible, the client can go to court confident that every effort has been made to present the strongest possible case.

George joined Callison Tighe in 2011 as an associate and became a member in 2017.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from The Citadel. Shortly after graduating, he accepted a commission into the U.S. Air Force.  He was deployed multiple times during his service as an intelligence officer, including tours to Iraq and Qatar.  George earned numerous meritorious awards, including an Army Commendation Medal, an Air Force Commendation Medal and two Air Force Achievement Medals.  After leaving the Air Force, he attended the University of South Carolina School of Law. He graduated with honors, earning several awards along the way.

In addition to practicing law, George is committed to serving his community.  He acts as a guardian ad litem for displaced children. He also volunteers to provide free legal services to the homeless.
